Wilson as a name in shipping originates back to 1942 when Paal Wilson founded the company "Paal Wilson & Co".
" Norge-Rhin-Linjen" was established in 1958, a bulk/parcel linerservice for the Norwegian industry serving continental ports within the Rotterdam-Ruhr- area and Norway. Norge- Rhin Linjen became very successful and established the beginning of Wilson's growing shipping activities , and Wilson became one of the leaders within the European short sea segment.

Nowadays the Wilson-Group is acting in 2 main business areas:
- Wilson Euro Carriers AS (WEC) as a short sea company
   with a fleet of abt 110 vessels, ranging from 1.500 to
   10.000 dwt
- Wilson Ship Management (WSM) as a ship management
  company carrying out the full range of management duties
  for 50 vessels between 2.000 and 15.000 dwt.

 

  


ECL Euro Container Lines as a subsidiary of Wilson A/S was founded in 1999.  This Feederservice is operating 3 vessels (M/V ECL Challenger, M/V ECL Commander and M/V Pioneer Bay) in the trade of West- and North-Norway combining the Ports of Hamburg and Bremerhaven.
The Norwegian ports in the Sandnes-Trondheim-range are called directly 3 times per week. Shipments to Northnorwegian ports upto Kirkenes can be offered in transshipment via Aalesund.

Since September 2009 the Port of Rotterdam has been connected to this link to Norway and is called sub sufficient inducement by MV "Asian Carrier". The network and economical growth of ECL Euro Container Line is the outcome of our close relationship to the customers and their strong support in all these years.

All kind of containers (FCL/LCL) can be accepted. Capacities for conventional cargoes and heavy lifts are available subject to pieceweights/dimensions and vessel's schedules. A dedicated Door/Door-service can be offered to all West-and Northnorwegian destinations based either on cabotage- or Line's own- containers.
